Bike Bath 2012
Dear Clevedon & District RC,
In June 2012, the famous city of Bath will host thousands of riders from around the country at a celebration of cycling in this historic city. We would be delighted if your cycling club could join us in this inaugural event which aims to offer something for every enthusiastic cyclist. The event will launch on Friday 22nd June with an evening of talks from well known cycling speakers including Robb Penn, author of “About a Bike”, bike film footage and some spectacular food from Rob Clayton the Michelin starred chef. All the details as they are confirmed are going on the website www.bikebath.co.uk.
Routes of 30, 60 and 100 miles will head out of the centre of Bath on the Saturday and Sunday. Cycling Club discounts are available for all team entries. Call the office for registration fee details.
The event is organised by Aquaterra, a charity whose aims are to get communities fitter. To encourage youngsters to ride in Bike Bath all under 16′s will ride for free if accompanied by an adult. The ride offers a great opportunity to raise money for a charity of your choice and details of those charities have been linked.
